Samsung launched the Samung Galaxy M30s series at the mid of this year to strengthen its position against Chinese competition. The mid lower Rs. 13,999 segment was dominated by multiple models from the likes of Xiaomi and Honor, many of which offered better value for money than the devices that Samsung was selling at the time. As a result, the Samsung Galaxy M30s series was launched with a strong focus on the online market.

The Samsung Galaxy M30s was one of the most high-profile models in this series when it launched at around the Rs 15,000 mark. This smartphone sported an AMOLED display and offered good battery life. Samsung has now launched an updated version of this smartphone dubbed the  Samsung Galaxy M30s. Does it improve on the M30's strengths and fix its weaknesses? Samsung Galaxy M30s Design

The design of the Samsung Galaxy M30s is similar to the first launched smartphone of this series. This time the company has made a triple rear camera setup and LED flash in the black rectangle box, making some changes in its camera module. The camera module has a fingerprint sensor in the back and Samsung's branding below it.

The phone has a 6.4-inch full HD + AMOLED display. In this display, Infinity U has been given for the selfie camera. Samsung has given thin bezels on the top and side in this phone, while the bottom chin is slightly wider. In this phone, the company has used the last uni body. Due to the large battery, the phone is definitely a bit thick, but to make the grip good on the phone, the phone has been given rounded corners. Samsung Galaxy M30s phone has been launched in Pearl White, Opal Black and Sapphire Blue three color options. The right side of the Samsung Galaxy M30s phone has a volume rocker and power button, while the SIM and memory card tray is given on the left side. Talking about the bottom, here the company has given calling mic, speaker grill, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port for charging and connectivity. In Samsung Galaxy M30s, the company has given a 6.4-inch full HD + display, which is a capacitive touch screen display. It is Samsung's Infinity U AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels. The color and viewing angle and brightness of the display is superb.
During outdoor use in daylight, everything is visible in the screen and you can play the phone easily, but for this you have to keep brightness high. For this it is better that you use the adaptive brightness setting. In this phone you also get the option of Vivid Screen, which enhances its color contrast.

The performance of this Samsung phone is like other mid-range phones of the company. Many apps run smooth together but after some time, while switching from one app to another, it does a little lag. The good thing is that when you touch the app freely, it remembers a little time from where you were at. Talking about gaming, PubG Mobile and other heavy games can be played on the high graphics settings in this phone. It starts heating up when gaming and using the phone for a long time.

The USP of this Samsung phone is its battery, which is able to support you for a long time. The company is also selling this phone with the same promise. This phone has a 6000 mAh battery. This phone has 15 w fast charge support. It takes about three and a half hours to charge this phone. Which gives a full one day backup on heavy use. Along with this, group selfie mode has been given. The camera of Samsung Galaxy M30s clicks quite a lot of photos during daylight. All the colors in the photo open up bright and there are many details in the photo. Vibrant and crisp photo clicking in daylight, this smartphone disappoints a little during low-light. At the same time, photos are clicked with good detail in indoor as well. The wide angle camera given in the camera also clicks photos with good details. The front camera gives excellent results in day light. This mid-range smartphone comes with great camera capabilities.

The direct competition in the market of Samsung Galaxy M30s is Chinese smartphones like Redmi Note 7 Pro, Mi A3 and Realme 5 Pro. Samsung has launched this phone in two variants - 4GB RAM model for Rs 13999 and 6GB RAM model for Rs 16,999. Its design in this price range, and the name of Samsung with an AMOLED display make it a good choice for buyers. This smartphone with a great battery backup is a good option for the general user but for heavy users, it is an average smartphone.
